This is good stuff, thx for sharing! I wish the video length was just a bit longer at the end, to hear the shifts out of the corner.

Is that the Duramax option?

I think it could be that 4.2TT in the CT6 V only because they have to put that engine in something else.
So much development cost and it’s only in one car.

Well I mean it’s not even one car now that they killed of the CT6. Typical GM waste

True. I think I read they’re going to keep making the car in China, but no info on that engine or exports.

That’s not typical GM at all. GM uses the same few engines in everything. Same goes for their parts bin in general.

The C8.R engine which is a naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 with a flat plane crank, is supposed to be based on a production engine. The engine in this car sounds very similar to the race car engine.
A fullsize Cadillac and GMC CUV was also supposed to be built on the CT6's omega platform but those were cancelled so the factory could be closed
. It looks like the 4.2 V8 is going to be short-lived.

Consider the “lifetime” spark plugs... because SI calls for 18 hours to replace THEM!!! I’ll be a happy tech if I never get to do a spark plug change on one of these what where the engineers thinking!

I hope this has a nice low/mid-sized wing wing like on the Gallardo Superleggera or the Performante. The C8's ne of the few cars I can think of that would benefit aesthetically from a proper wing.

This is the optional spoiler on the base car. The Z06 is probably going to be similar or more radical.

I hope it’s still a pushrod LTx. There were a few people experimenting with flat-plane LSx engines and they were all bonkers.

I don’t think GM is going to hold back with the Z06. This is the base car decked out with the full carbon fiber body kit.

That wing looks like it came right out of Need For Speed: Most Wanted.
